Christopher Ward Sealander 36mm
Christopher Ward has just granted the wishes of a big chunk of watch lovers, releasing a new version of its hit Sealander model in 36mm. Not one’s to miss the hype train, the new 36mm model will have 200-piece runs of red, blue, yellow, and green dials, with black and white dials being permanent offerings. The watches run a SW200-1 movement and feature the brand’s signature Light-catcher case. The color dials come with a matching leather strap and your choice of CW’s excellent bracelet or a brown suede strap; black and white dials come with your choice of black or brown leather or the bracelet. Color dials limited to 200 pieces each, black and white non-limited, starting at $765 from Christopher Ward.
Oris x Wings of Hope Big Crown LE
In its apparent quest to collaborate with all the charitable non-profits, Oris has partnered with Wings of Hope for two new limited editions of its Big Crown pilot’s watch. Wings of Hope brings medical support to remote and vulnerable communities in more than 50 countries, with over 65,000 people benefitting in 2021 alone. The LEs are offered in steel or 18k gold and feature Oris’ in-house Calibre 401. The vintage-inspired dial is pulled from the Big Crown Pointer Date Calibre 403, omitting the date hand and peripheral date ring. As such, I think it’s very likely we’ll see non-limited versions of this dial quite soon. Limited to 1000 pieces in steel priced at $3,700 and 100 pieces in gold priced at $17,000 from Oris.
Tutima M2 Seven Seas in PVD
Tutima has given its avocado M2 Seven Seas S the all-black treatment, applying PVD coating to its 40mm diver. The watch still looks great, but now has an edgier look that requires a bit more confidence and commitment from its wearer. The watch features the Tutima 330 caliber, which is a rebranded ETA 2836-2 You can read all about the 44mm steel version of this watch in our recent review. $1,980 USD from authorized dealers with more information available at Tutima.
Ming 37.07
Ming is celebrating its 5-year anniversary with yet another stunner. The Ming 37.07 features a tantalizing lumed mosaic dial and Mings trademark stainless steel case. At 38mm, the watch runs on a customized Sellita SW210 with anthracite skeletonized bridges. In an effort to meet demand (which has been an ongoing struggle for the brand), the brand opened two ordering windows, and all orders placed will receive a watch. The downside? DElivery isn’t expected until May of 2023. CHF 3,250 from Ming.
